For the past six months I have been working with Theater4All composing the incidental music for their inaugural show Crone Creed which opened this weekend at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. The Show plays every weekend until Oct 17th and is a part of the El Portal’s Centenary Celebration season.
Crone Creed is a mythic drama spanning centuries, following Vita, a young woman whose life is shattered by religious violence and betrayal in medieval Europe. Reborn in the late 1800s American frontier as part of an ancient lineage of mystical women known as the Crones, she discovers her brother has also returned through time as part of a corrupting force known as the Fallen. As their conflict unfolds across eras, Vita must confront questions of power, loyalty, and resistance in a struggle where belief itself shapes reality.
The music of Crone Creed was written as a traditional orchestral score with leitmotifs for the main characters such as Vita, Yanni, Tessca and the Crones. It’s been an honor to be a part of the creative design team for this theatrical show which is essentially a fantasy play with many technical complexities.
The good people at Theater4All have also made the music available to stream at Soundcloud and can be heard here below.
