GALLIFREY ONE 2026

I’ve been lucky the past few years to be able to participate on multiple panels at the Gallifrey One convention discussing the music of Doctor Who. This is a convention I have been attending for 26 years now. The first one I attended was “The Eleventh Hour of Gallifrey One” in 2000 when I was finishing up my second semester of graduate school at USC. I didn’t have a car at that time so fortunately my good friend and fellow composer/orchestrator Joshua Godoy decided to join me and give me a ride to the Air-Tel Plaza hotel for a day. Peter Davison was headlining the con then as he is again this year with Jo Martin, Freema Agyeman and Millie Gibson.

This year’s Gallifrey One convention returns to the LAX Marriott Hotel the first weekend of February and the panel will be moderated by my good friend Ramie Tateishi again. The panel is called The Music of the Gatwa Era and below is a description from the program:

“As we close out our overview of the music that defined the Gatwa era of Doctor Who, we’ll focus on the highlights of last season, and the role that Murray Gold played in bringing them to life: melodies of our favorite villains, new themes for new friends… and of course, no discussion would be complete without some chat about Dugga Doo, too!”
